Archival (AWS S3/ System) Processing Service
Current Functionality:
The application does not support this feature currently.
Enhancement:
The Archival Processing Service in UniServe360 is designed to handle archival and deep archival processes concurrently and efficiently using a multithreading mechanism. This service supports data processing from various storage types, including:
AWS S3
Archive storage - EFS to AWS S3
Deep Archive storage - AWS S3 to S3 Glacier
After uploading data to AWS S3, users have the option to further archive it to S3 Glacier for deep archival purposes.
System Storage
Archive storage: Local to system storage (e.g., local hard drives, EFS, NFS, etc.)
Deep Archive storage: Local to system storage
After transferring data within local system storage, users can archive it further to another local storage for deep archival.
The Archival Processing Service leverages multithreading capabilities to optimize performance and throughput, ensuring efficient and reliable archival operations across different storage environments. By supporting both archive and deep archive functionalities seamlessly, UniServe360 facilitates comprehensive data management and storage lifecycle management.
Benefits:
Efficient Archival Processes: The Archival Processing Service enables efficient archival and deep archival processes using a multithreading mechanism, ensuring optimal performance and throughput.
Concurrent Processing: The service supports handling multiple storage types and operations simultaneously, including deep archival tasks.
Versatile Storage Support: UniServe360's Archival Processing Service seamlessly integrates with various storage types, including AWS S3 (EFS to AWS S3, AWS S3 to S3 Glacier) and system storage (local hard drives, EFS, NFS, etc.), offering flexibility and compatibility with diverse storage environments.
Simplified Data Transfers: Users can easily transfer data between different storage locations, such as from local to system storage or from AWS S3 to S3 Glacier, streamlining data management and storage lifecycle processes.
Optimized Performance: The Archival Processing Service uses multithreading to optimize performance and resource utilization, resulting in efficient data processing and transfer operations.
These benefits collectively contribute to improved data management efficiency, flexibility, and reliability within UniServe360, empowering users to effectively manage and optimize their archival and deep archival processes across diverse storage environments.
